Frequently Asked Questions

Nutritional Therapy is a science-based, holistic approach to wellness that respects the bio-individuality of each person, evaluating underlying nutritional needs and imbalances that lead to dysfunction in the body. We use a combination of whole food nutrition, lifestyle, and supplementation (when needed) to address the foundations of health. Instead of masking the symptoms, we address them. Please note: NTP’s are not trained to diagnose or treat disease, illness or injury.

I completed the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) program through the Nutritional Therapy Association. Along with 20 years of my own research, I am ready to come along side you to help you reach your goals.

  • Nutrient Dense Diet
  • Digestion
  • Blood Sugar Regulation
  • Fatty Acid Balance
  • Hydration
  • Mineral Balance
  • Sleep, Stress and Movement

That is hard to say. Remember that it has taken years for your body to get where it is at now. Even though some people start feeling better right away, there is no quick fix. Getting to the root of the problem can take some time, along with patience and determination. For most people it will be a minimum of 6 months.

Video chat and messaging are all done through my client portal via Practice Better. You can access it on the web at a computer or in the app on your smartphone.

There are no refunds on programs.

If you need to cancel or reschedule the appointment, you must do so 24 hours in advance; otherwise, you will forfeit that appointment and will not have an opportunity to reschedule it, nor receive a refund of any payment.

Holistic nutrition is currently a self-regulated profession. The immense value of preventative health care through holistic nutrition is not yet recognized by many insurance companies and employers, and is therefore not covered by most extended health care plans. If you do have extended health benefits, please check your individual plan for holistic nutrition, nutritional counseling, or something similar. If you have a health spending account, you should be able to claim holistic nutrition services through that. For most people, commitment to working with me will be an out-of-pocket investment toward their health. It is a worthy investment that will reap long-term rewards and benefits.

Step 1: Free Discovery Call – 30 minutes

This informative and free 30-minute call is the first step. It allows us to discuss your current health challenges and goals to determine whether functional nutrition is right for you. If we are a good fit, we will move forward with New Client paperwork.

Step 2: Client Paperwork

If we agree that we would like to work together, I will send you 3 forms to complete and return a minimum of 3 days before our first meeting. Please note that these will be sent to you once you purchase the program.

  • Initial Interview Questionnaire: This provides detailed information for us to look at your health goals and concerns, nutrition and lifestyles habits, basic medical history, stress levels, sleep quality, menstrual cycles and other potential stressors.
  • NAQ (Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire): A 320-question Nutritional Therapy Assessment to look at any bodily symptoms, dysfunctions, or deficiencies you may be experiencing.
  • 4-5 Day Food and Mood Journal: Captures your meals, physical activity, bowel movements, symptoms experienced after eating, and your mood.

Once you fill out these forms, I will analyze them to identify what areas of your health we need to prioritize first which we will discuss further in the Initial Interview.

Step 3: Initial Interview

A 90 minute meeting for us to dive deeper into discussing your goals, symptoms, and how I can best support you in reaching them. This is my chance to ask clarifying details about your paperwork and your chance to ask any questions you have for me.

Step 4: Recommendations

I will provide you with personalized nutritional, lifestyle, and supplement (if needed) recommendations.

Steps 5 & 6: Implementation and Follow Up

I will provide ongoing check-ins that include discussions of symptoms, edits to your customized nutrition guide, and general support. We will do follow up paperwork along the way as needed.
